How to Connect Your Stripe Account

Follow these steps to complete the account setup:

  1. Create Your Stripe Account:
    • Provide your email address.
    • Create a strong password for your Stripe account.
  2. Set Up Two-Step Authentication:
    • Enable two-step authentication for added security.
  3. Specify Your Business Location:
    • Set your business location as Malta.
  4. Choose Your Business Type:
    • Select “Sole proprietor” as the type of business.
  5. Enter Your Personal Details:
    • Fill in your details according to your legal identification document, including:
      • Full Name
      • Email Address
      • Date of Birth
      • Home Address
      • Phone Number
  6. Select Your Industry:
    • Choose “Clothing and accessories / Retail” as your industry.
  7. Provide Your Website URL:
    • Enter the URL of your store on Declutter.
  8. Add a Description:
    • In the description, you can add “Second-hand retail store on Declutter marketplace.”
  9. Add Account Details for Payments:
    • Enter the bank account details where you would like your payments to be deposited.
    • Important: If you are using Revolut for your bank account, change the banking country to Lithuania when entering your IBAN number.
  10. Specify a Statement Descriptor:
    • Provide a statement descriptor that will appear on your customers’ bank statements (e.g., your store name).
    • Also, add a shortened version of your descriptor.
  11. Review and Submit:
    • Carefully review all the details you’ve entered to ensure accuracy.
    • Submit your application.
